Sister Lucia Caram reacts from kyiv to the latest bombing perpetrated by Russia: "Their bodies are being crushed"

The war between Russia and Ukraine continues with a major escalation of tension in recent days. Last Friday, 137 people died and another 145 were injured in a terrorist attack at Moscow's Crocus City Hall, claimed by ISIS. However, Vladimir Putin keeps his eye on kyiv and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, believes he is using what happened to point the finger at his country as the culprit.

A fact that has intensified after the latest bombing in the Ukrainian capital, which Sister Lucía Caram has witnessed. The Dominican nun, who is in the territory carrying out humanitarian tasks, made a live connection with the Cuatro program Todo es Lie, presented by Risto Mejide. During her intervention, the Manresa resident explained how the attack surprised them and asked for a truce from so much destruction.

“There was no time to listen: when the alarm began, the bombings began. I heard the noise, but I was so involved in the meeting that I didn't notice. Suddenly we all ran to the bunker, and three explosions in a row were heard. Once inside I became aware of what was happening,” she commented. Likewise, she expressed the current tension and the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“He has to explain in any way the madness of what he is doing. What remains is helplessness and asking the world not to forget what is happening in Ukraine. The price in human lives is tremendous, they are very young children. I feel destroyed by what I have seen and what we have felt. “They have been robbed of their childhood,” the nun expressed, emphasizing the destruction that this war was wreaking on families.

“I am seeing the destruction of what has happened here, you hear the outcry of the people, and young boys separated from their family shout that what is being done to them is unfair. Their bodies are being crushed. What is happening on the front and here is that a generation is being crushed and crushed and they are defending not only Ukraine, but Europe,” he confessed, lamenting all the lives lost.

“People are tired of seeing so much concentrated evil and it being impossible to stop. It seems that there are interests in us not dealing with what is happening, it seems that it is no longer news,” stated Caram, during the last section of his intervention. Returning to the issue that has shaken Moscow in the last 72 hours, the United States also defended Zelensky's position regarding a possible political use of the attack.
