Singer Darlyn Morais dies from a spider bite at age 28

Brazilian singer Darlyn Morais died on October 31 after suffering a spider bite on his face while he was at home. The arachnid also bit his wife's daughter, who is currently hospitalized, although stable.

The artist fell ill after being bitten by the arachnid, which was found in his home in Miranorte, in the northwest of the country. A few days later, he was taken to the hospital, where he died due to the allergic reaction resulting from the sting.

The tragic event began on October 31, when the artist began to feel unwell. His wife, Jhullyenny Lisboa, observed how the singer's face began to darken in some places, which they attributed to the bite of an arachnid.

The artist's health began to deteriorate rapidly, prompting his wife to alert emergency services on Sunday, November 5. Lisbon's daughter, also a victim of the bite, began to show symptoms similar to those of the artist.

They both decided to seek help at the Palmas General Hospital that same Sunday. Unfortunately, Morais lost his life the next day. Lisbon's 18-year-old daughter remains in the hospital, receiving medical attention. Her condition, however, is stable within gravity.

The artist was one of the most prominent voices of the so-called 'forró', a very popular musical and folk dance genre originating from Pernambuco, northwest of Brazil. A symbol of celebration and joy, Morais made the genre his own with his songs about love and the customs of his countrymen, turning him into a true local hero.

For this reason, hundreds of people gathered in Miranorte to say goodbye. They all wanted to say goodbye doing what he liked most: singing. Thus, the music overcame the tears of his family and friends, numbering in the hundreds, who could not help but get emotional when saying goodbye to their great friend.

"He did what he loved until the end. His love for music and 'forró' was evident, as was his energy on stage. May he rest in peace, may God calm the sadness in the hearts of his family and friends. "It has been a great loss, a man as young and as talented as him. He has made history," says one of the dedications from his followers.
