Sandra Barneda's harsh confession after replacing 'Sálvame' in the summer: "I thought about leaving it"

Sandra Barneda continues to add successes on television. In the last year, she has become one of the strong faces on the Telecinco grid, in the midst of the renovation of Mediaset's main network. After hosting the Nightmare in Paradise debate and heading to the Dominican Republic to record the seventh season of Temptation Island, which will be released in the new year, the presenter faced one of the biggest challenges in his professional career.

While on the other side of the pond, Barneda found out that she had been chosen by Mediaset to replace both Sálvame and Deluxe, after their abrupt closure last May. In this way, the Catalan communicator took on a double challenge with Cuarzo Producciones, in the midst of a barrage of criticism for the controversial decision to cancel the La factory de la tele formats.

Telecinco's new afternoon program, Así es la vida, arrived with the intention of serving as a bridge during the summer until the return of Ana Rosa Quintana, who would go on to host the network's afternoons with TardeAR. However, the communication group decided to renew its trust with Barneda and her team and maintained the space since September, albeit reduced to just one hour in duration.

The last night did not suffer the same fate, a natural substitute for Deluxe, which after a few weeks was abruptly canceled due to its low audiences. A tough year for the presenter and which, at the end of it, she has decided to take stock of through her newly launched TikTok account. "Difficult year, but with a lot of learning," she revealed.

Sandra Barneda has confessed, for the first time, how she felt when facing criticism such as that received after the cancellation of Sálvame, despite the fact that the presenter had no influence on Mediaset's decision. "Sometimes I have been on crusades that were not mine, and in the middle of that crusade I have had to defend myself and defend what I was doing," she says, adding that she received "unfair criticism" but that "they have taught her a lot."

"You tell me that I am going to live such a key moment and to be there, in the middle of the Bermuda triangle, I did not expect it," he said about his role in the controversy experienced by the closure of the veteran Telecinco format. "At some point I thought I couldn't handle the pressure, and at some point I thought: I'm quitting, I'm not enjoying it, I'm not feeling well," he confessed. The communicator ended with a lesson: "You don't know what is going to happen, it doesn't depend on you. And from there relax and enjoy."
