Risto Mejide's question to Tita Cervera that dynamited the relationship with Nieves Herrero: "It had an indirect impact on me"

The publication of the book La Baronesa, an extensive biography of Carmen ('Tita') Cervera written by the journalist Nieves Herrero, has caused a great earthquake in the Thyssen family. It is a book initially authorized by the protagonist of the story herself, having even participated in its preparation, but everything went wrong just a few months ago.

The reason is none other than the appearance of Tita Cervera in Viajando con Chester, the program presented by Risto Mejide in Cuatro. In her television intervention, the Baroness spoke of her current relationship with her son Borja Thyssen and, in line with the question, the space host wanted to ask her a compromising question that even ended up being censored.

"Is Borja the father of your daughters?" Risto asked Tita Cervera openly. The Baroness was the mother of two little girls, Guadalupe Sabina and María del Carmen, at the age of 63 and by surrogate pregnancy. And identically to the case of Ana Obregón, the publicist was interested in knowing if his daughter had participated directly in the process.

"The girls have a father," was Cervera's only response. Although the moment was not included in the final program, she did appear in self-promotions for Traveling with Chester. And this would be the reason why her relationship with Nieves Herrero, in the midst of preparing the biography of the baroness, was completely dynamited, according to the journalist herself.

"That question must have uncovered the thunder box between mother and son, and indirectly, it had an impact on me," says Herrero in the presentation of the work. Although he admits that he does not know for sure, the broadcast of the fragment coincides in time with the moment when everything went wrong between her and Tita Cervera. "The objective fact is that we did not continue talking and we did not meet face to face again," she explained.

The breakdown of the relationship between Nieves Herrero and the baroness would also be the reason why, finally, Cervera claims not to have authorized the publication of the biography. For this reason, Tita is considering suing the journalist, as revealed by Aurelio Manzano in the Espejo público program.
