Rihanna launches the most desired sneakers of the fall

Rihanna has returned to the fashion and beauty industries with a bang. After giving birth to her second child, the singer has launched new products from her makeup brand Fenty Beauty that have already gone viral and has just presented her new collection for Puma, a brand she joined in 2014 as creative director.

It was last March when the German sports brand unexpectedly announced the return of the Barbados brand: "She's back," it communicated in a message that quickly revolutionized social networks. A return that features a pair of sneakers that have become the most desired of the fall even before going on sale.

For her long-awaited Fenty x Puma Avanti collection, the artist has mixed two of the firm's most iconic models: the King soccer boots with their characteristic high-quality leather upper and the Easy Rider running shoes. The choice of these two designs was not coincidental, since Rihanna is a great football fan and she wanted to make exclusive unisex sneakers following the trends.

The football boots - created in 1968 - were worn by footballers like Maradona, while the Easy Rider, which went on sale in 1978, has been the subject of great collaborations with designers like Jil Sander. "I wanted to recover some of the most legendary Puma models to bring them back to the streets, and the great Pelé made the Avanti sneakers very iconic at the time," says Rihanna, who has added her touch to these models with details of leather and modifying the rubber of the sole.

"It has been a very exciting starting point for our new partnership," said María Valdés, Puma's product director, in a statement. "We spent time together opening the Puma archive and identifying the right product that spoke to Rihanna. Avanti is a Puma classic with a unique and iconic take on the terrace style. I am very happy to see this project come to life and still more excited about what the next few years will bring us together," she says.

The Fenty x Puma Avanti alliance wants, with this collection, to redefine classic sports fashion, with a leather upper, gold branded details and a black and white combination. In addition, the Fenty logo is included in various parts of the shoe, such as the tongue, the side and the heel.

The designs will be available from September 15 in the Puma online store and in selected stores around the world. They will have prices between 85 and 170 euros and will be part of a collection that will be expanded this fall with new products that will be revealed in due course.
