Raquel Sánchez Silva gets rid of the fine from the Segovia City Council after her mishap in the aqueduct

The journalist and communicator Raquel Sánchez Silva has been involved in a controversy after visiting Segovia during her Easter holidays. The presenter of Maestros de la Costura went to the city of Castilla y León to spend a few days disconnecting, away from the big city and routine.

''Segovia or how to receive thousands and thousands of visitors at Easter. He had never seen her so pretty and full of people. It has given me time to walk through it in the sun and eat at Cándido with such good, good memories. Great Segovian family. Good people. Good plan. Happy holidays to all!!!'', the Extremaduran wrote on her official Instagram profile.

Along with the text, Sánchez Silva shared a series of images that set social networks on fire. Specifically, in the first image you can see the presenter leaning on the Segovia aqueduct, a historical monument that is protected.

In a matter of hours, the publication of the former Masterchef Celebrity contestant was filled with Segovians complaining about the "little respect" that the famous had shown with the city and with the aqueduct and even assured that they were going to report so that the City Council of Segovia sanctioned her for not taking care of the historical heritage of the metropolis. ''The next time you come, try not to lean on the Aqueduct. The photo looks just as cool'' or ''Segovians are not allowed to lean on the aqueduct and this one arrives and leans on, what a shame'', are some of the messages that can be read in the publication.

Despite great popular concern, the Segovian institution will not fine the presenter for leaning on one of the granite pillars of the aqueduct. This is due to the fact that Raquel Sánchez Silva did not breach the new Coexistence ordinance recently approved by the City Council, which contemplates fines of up to 3,000 euros for damaging the historical heritage of the city, which punishes and sanctions "climbing, going up, climbing, getting off the hook or any another similar action'' that supposes damages in the historical monument.

The Coexistence Ordinance, approved in the plenary session of the town on December 30 and which came into force on March 11, does not explicitly prohibit leaning on the monument, so Silva would be exempt from any type of charge by not causing any damage visible. According to the El Norte de Castilla newspaper, the mayoress of Segovia stated that the photograph does not prove that there was any infringement or damage to the monument included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.
