There is nothing worse than going fast in a relationship. However, there are loves at first sight that make some people step on the accelerator and start burning stages before even putting the key in the ignition, which will undoubtedly cause the other to run away.
This is more or less what happened to José Manuel during his time at First Dates, because he thought his date with Marta was going smoothly, until he dared to do the unthinkable: offer to drive her home after that first date. Something that she would not accept under any circumstances, considering it too hasty.
Marta appeared in the best-known restaurant on television as a simple girl, with a taste for fashion, shopping and a frustrated dream: to be an influencer. Going to the program was a decision due to her bad luck in love with her, since she had fallen into toxic relationships, to which she gave herself too much due to her insecurities. Of course, she hoped to find there a dark boy, tall and with the look of 'Cayetanito', as she likes them.
In response to her prayers, José Manuel appeared, a tall guy with the classic look that Marta liked so much, who was looking for a spontaneous and "a little crazy" girl. When they saw each other, they obviously liked each other, and that first crush gave the starting signal for a date that could end with a more than happy ending.
At least, if José Manuel had not gone too far. They both talked a little about everything, wanting to know about each other, the prospects when looking for a relationship, their relationship with their families... Both were delighted with each other.
Their connection and tastes were practically identical. So what could go wrong? Well, that José Manuel put on the table the subject of love and sex. For this, Marta is very traditional, so when he tried to add a spicy touch to the conversation, she stopped him dead.
A first warning sign that he apparently ignored, because they continued with the appointment, and José Manuel, delighted, offered that they could leave the appointment together in his car. Something that made Marta shut down and change her attitude, just before the final decision, at which time she decided to give José Manuel pumpkins, despite having had a perfect date.
The reason, the audacity of having offered to take her in a car on a first date, without hardly knowing her, since she is a very traditional girl and likes things that go very little by little. José Manuel was willing to continue knowing her and assured that she had no bad intentions, but no, with her words she ruined the perfect date.
