Princess Marta Luisa of Norway talks about her "genderless love" with Durek Verrett

Princess Marta Luisa of Norway has opened up for the first time about one of the issues that generated speculation about the sentimental curriculum of her fiancé, the fabulous shaman Durek Verret. Among the many sordid facts of his questioned biography and his controversial statements about fantastic treatments, there is the anecdote that some of his previous partners had been men, and now the daughter of King Harald V of Norway has wanted to address "the acceptance of love without gender" to settle this debate about your partner.

"They are the people we fall in love with. It doesn't matter who they are and what gender they are. Love is love. At least for me. A lot of people have reacted to that, wondering how I can accept it. But he loves me, and I love him. I love, and it doesn't matter," he explained in a new interview with Gurus magazine.

Marta Luisa has also recounted in this new interview that she introduced the Shaman to her daughters at first as "my gay friend". "We took them to Universal Studios, and they all got to know him without the pressure of us dating, and they connected, which was so beautiful." The princess and the shaman have also affirmed to Gurus that all of her family have accepted the Shaman and her fluid sexuality from the beginning.

The couple announced their engagement in June 2022, and in November of the same year, Marta Luisa announced her resignation from her royal duties in Norway due to pressure, as she wanted to focus on the alternative medicine business with the shaman. and for many Norwegians that was not compatible with her role as princess. She though she has retained her title. After that, the wedding was postponed, attributing the shaman to health problems. "I won't get married until I have a new kidney," he said

This is not the first wedding that Durek Verret has postponed or cancelled. The shaman had an 8-year courtship with the American masseur Hank Greenberg, who was also his business partner, but they broke off their engagement. After learning of his affair with the princess, Greenberg accused Verrett of being a dangerous manipulator and came to use the word cult to refer to his followers. He said he had "nothing nice to say, although I wish him all the best."

The shaman already spoke about the matter in an interview with the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet when he began his relationship with Marta Luisa, then he said of the princess that "she has a feminine and a masculine side" and that it was difficult "to put her in a certain box, something that I greatly appreciate it. It's exactly how I feel about myself." He added that he "represents love regardless of gender" and that he loves Marta because she "understands this." Verret elaborated on the subject: "Am I attracted to men? Yes. Am I attracted to women? Yes, but it is based on love," he said then.

Verret has also been active on his social networks about the fight against racism among the European royal families. He supported Prince Harry with one post and, in another, thanked King Harald V for condemning racism. In the new interview with Gurus he has complained that this message from the Norwegian king did not become as transcendental as he expected. "That any member of royalty can speak to that level of racism is a historical fact, and for the press to bury it, not talk about it and not publish it was very discouraging for me," he defended.
