Presenter Iñaki López, very critical of Broncano's signing for RTVE

David Broncano will present La Resistencia on RTVE's La 1 next season. After weeks of uncertainty about the presenter's future, this Wednesday, April 10, the Board of Directors of the public entity approved the signing of the comedian for two seasons to fight in prime time access against Pablo Motos' El Hormiguero.

The agreement has gone ahead thanks to the casting vote of the current interim president of the corporation, Concepción Cascajosa, after the absence without delegating her vote of the former interim president, Elena Sánchez, who was absent last week due to medical problems. Finally, with four votes in favor and two against, the Council has given the green light to the contract with an offer of two seasons and 28 million euros (14 per season).

Although many were hoping that the comedian would sign for the public network, the arrival of David Broncano to Radio Televisión Española has not been to everyone's taste. Last week, many famous television faces spoke out about the high-profile signing. One of them was Pablo Motos, who is completely harmed by this new contract. ''Every time we do the program there is someone in the competition. Welcome to the competition, welcome to Broncano and everyone sees what they want. There is nothing more democratic than the remote control,'' he declared last Thursday.

Now, another famous face from Atresmedia has wanted to comment on the arrival of David Broncano to the public channel. The presenter of Better Later, Iñaki López, published a tweet on the social network

''The one about really important and urgent things that can be done with 28 million euros of public money,'' wrote Cristina Pardo's partner. The journalist's comment has generated a lot of commotion on social networks and many have been against his opinion, ensuring that the money allocated for the contract comes specifically from the budgets that RTVE has. Money that, if it were not allocated to the new television format, would have been used for other issues of the network.
