Paz Padilla is shocked by buying a personalized coffin in Ghana: “Will you send it to me in Spain?”

You're missing a trip, the new program by Paz Padilla and her daughter Anna Ferrer, premiered this Wednesday on Cuatro with the most surreal, comical and even somewhat eschatological situations in its first destination, Ghana. In fact, death was one of the recurring themes in this first installment, to the point that Ferrer felt overwhelmed during a funeral.

However, the discordant note full of black humor was given by his mother, Paz Padilla, when they visited an artisan who made coffins. This made the comedian consider the idea of buying a coffin. Of course, one of the most special and personalized with clear references to Cádiz, her land.

The visit of Paz Padilla and Anna Ferrer to Ghana was a revolution. Above all, when it occurred to the comedian to visit a well-known artisan and manufacturer of personalized coffins in the country. And, as the expert explained, for them death is just one more step and, therefore, it is a reason for celebration because after death, life does not end.

For this reason, people personalize their coffins with objects that are important or that they like. Thus, mother and daughter came across coffins in the shape of a cow, a ketchup bottle, a lion, a chicken... The models manufactured by Paa Joe are unique, and range between 1,000 euros and 15,000 euros.

“I want to buy a coffin. If I buy one, will you send it to me in Spain?” the presenter also wanted to know. And, then, she showed him what shape she wanted: something typical of Cádiz, a Carnival whistle. An object that caught the attention of the artisan, who had never seen anything like it.

That was when the haggling began between the two, since the artisan's price seemed a bit expensive to Padilla. Paa Joe offered him $3,000, although he finally lowered it to $1,800.

To finish, the comedian decided to try one of the coffins, get inside, and encouraged her daughter to accompany her. The shape this time was a mousetrap, something that gave them some excitement. “What a bad feeling…” they intoned as they locked themselves in the coffin.
