One of the most difficult moments for María Teresa Campos: the day she had to announce the death of her great friend live

Today, the world of communication has suffered an irreparable loss. The presenter María Teresa Campos died this morning at the age of 82, after being admitted last Sunday to the Fundación Jiménez Díaz Hospital in Madrid for acute respiratory failure.

Although the communicator has remained isolated due to the cognitive deterioration she suffered, in the last hours of her life she said goodbye to her closest family members. María Teresa leaves behind an unmatched legacy, shocking society and the world of journalism in equal measure.

Throughout her career, the presenter starred in television moments, such as when she called her former boss, Paolo Vasile, an 'asshole' after he downplayed her departure.

Likewise, María Teresa Campos had to face extreme situations on set. The journalist was in charge of announcing in 2012 the death of actor Paco Valladares, one of her closest friends.

"Forgive me, they just told me that my dear friend, Paco Valladares' companion of so many years, has died," revealed the communicator on the set of 'What a happy time', thus losing her composure and leaving the program visibly moved.

After a lifetime in front of the cameras, María Teresa Campos has given away endless historical moments, which is why she is considered by many to be the queen of television.
