New generation of Mercedes E-Class, the queen of luxury sedans

Nobody questions the historical leadership that Mercedes has held in the segment of medium business saloons for the last 75 years. The new E-Class is a step forward, maintaining the proportions of a classic three-volume saloon, with a short front overhang, a long hood and a very rearward cabin.

At the front, a panel-like black surface connects the radiator grille to the headlights and is visually reminiscent of the Mercedes-EQ models. The three-dimensional design radiator grille is progressive and classic, the optics incorporate High Performance LED headlights as standard and Digital Light technology is available as an option.

In terms of spaciousness, the E-Class offers improved interior levels of habitability. But if Mercedes-Benz boasts of something, it is the sensory experience that the vehicle is capable of generating. Music, games and streaming content can be experienced with all the senses thanks to the vehicle's electronic architecture, which is more software-based and less hardware-based.

The screens and the MBUX infotainment system share a new and very powerful central computer that increases performance and transmits data much faster. The entertainment package plus comprises services from Mercedes me connect and a communication module with 5G as transmission technology.

With the new active ambient lighting with sound display, occupants can experience music with three senses: hear it with Dolby Atmos technology, feel it through the tactile transducers of the Burmester 4D surround sound system (optional) and now also see it, thanks to the light band of active ambient lighting. As an option, the front passenger can enjoy an optional screen on which to view dynamic content.

The new E-Class was born with the ambition of leading the transition from the combustion engine to electric propulsion. Half of the powertrains are fourth-generation plug-in hybrids to set a new standard in the field of efficiency. Three of the six versions combine the advantages of a vehicle with an internal combustion engine with those of an electric car.
