New details of Silvia Bronchalo's secret meeting with Thai police come to light

The case of the murder of Edwin Arrieta continues to cause talk in many of the media in our country and as the days go by, new details of the case come to light. And it is that almost a month has passed since Daniel Sancho confessed to having murdered and dismembered the body of the well-known Colombian surgeon on the Thai island of Ko Pha Ngan.

Since then, Rodolfo Sancho's son has remained in pretrial detention in the Koh Samui prison awaiting trial. At the moment, only his mother, Silvia Bronchalo, has traveled to Thailand to see her son. Rodolfo Sancho's ex-partner has been visiting the alleged murderer in jail day in and day out to find out how he was and to bring him some other belongings.

But this past Thursday, the press that was in the vicinity of the prison had a good surprise when they saw that Daniel Sancho's mother did not appear at the prison. This was the first time in 15 days that Silvia Bronchalo did not visit her son. Hours later, the program En boca de todos revealed the exact reason that had caused Bronchalo not to have appeared in the Koh Samui prison.

As revealed by Cuatro's space, Rodolfo Sancho's ex-partner went to the police station on the island of Ko Pha Ngan, where his son confessed to the crime, to speak with the Thai police. Little else was known about this mysterious meeting, until this Friday the correspondent for the Así es la vida program, Andrea Suñe, revealed more details of the meeting thanks to information from the Thai police.

"She went to Ko Pha Ngan yesterday at this police station around 3 in the afternoon, met with the police and what Silvia wanted to find out was a bit about how this process was going, when this report would be delivered and at what point where the investigation was,'' the reporter said.

He has also revealed that the meeting was totally improvised. ''It was a meeting that was not planned. It was a surprise for the police to find her there and they have told us that the protocol that is followed with everyone was followed. Silvia arrived, handed over her passport and had to wait 45 minutes to be seen,'' she assured. The reporter has also explained that the police report is practically finished and that in principle it would be within two weeks. ''Before September 15 it would be,'' she affirmed.
