Netflix announces the fourth and final season of 'Valeria'

Netflix has taken an unexpected turn in its decision regarding the successful series Valeria, after announcing its closure with the third season, the streaming platform has surprised the public with the confirmation of a fourth installment. This change comes as welcome news for fans of the adaptation of Elísabet Benavent's novels, who were eagerly awaiting more chapters of this captivating story.

Initially, in October 2021, the platform announced that the series would conclude with its third season. However, the press releases prior to the premiere of these episodes already hinted at the possibility of continuing the plot, which has now become a reality.

This March 12, the digital platform shared a first image from the filming of the fourth season, thus confirming the production of new chapters.

In the words of Elísabet Benavent, author of the original novels, this fourth installment generates mixed emotions, but above all, she feels happy for the opportunity to continue the story. Benavent highlighted that, if Valeria had taught him anything, it was to dream, and this closing of the cycle comes as an opportunity to say goodbye to her in an emotional way and celebrate the success achieved so far.

Diana Gómez, Paula Malia, Silma López and Teresa Riott will once again lead the cast, reprising their roles as Valeria, Carmen, Lola and Nerea, respectively. Together they will immerse themselves in a new wave of love conflicts, complex relationships and new challenges, including the arrival of a baby, according to the official synopsis.

The cast will also include the participation of Maxi Iglesias, Juanlu González, José Pastor, Federico Aguado and Mima Riera, who will join this exciting journey. On the other hand, the script team will be led by Marina Pérez and Montaña Marchena, with Marina Pérez also assuming direction alongside Laura M. Campos. This fourth season will complete the adaptation of the Benavent saga, made up of four novels.
