Maximum tension between two singles from 'First Dates' after a date full of lies: ''I felt cheated''

The most romantic space on the small screen reopened its doors for another day. On Wednesday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners, who showed up to First Dates with the hope of enjoying an unparalleled evening and, if possible, finding their better half. But finding the ideal person is not as easy as it seems and sometimes singles are greatly disappointed.

Manuel, a 62-year-old retired painter from Malaga, arrived at the restaurant claiming to have very low self-esteem. ''I feel like no one likes me,'' he declared. He had been without a partner for almost five years and confessed to being fed up with disappointments and deception. After introducing herself, Laura Boado accompanied the bachelor to his table, where she had to wait for Eros, his date.

The 61-year-old Venezuelan bachelor came to the program looking for someone who really fit his personality. Moments later the most anticipated moment occurred, the first meeting between the couple. The first impression between them was quite good. ''I find it attractive. But seeing him so tall makes me afraid that he will reject me because I am so short,'' commented Manuel.

The evening began with the singles talking about their ages and good looks. However, Eros was not as delighted with his date as he initially seemed. ''I like athletic men and physically I would give him a few touches, like taking care of his image,'' he stated. Even so, the Venezuelan chose to praise Manuel's image instead of being sincere. ''He is a kind, loving, educated person and I know that when he loves a person he will truly love them,'' commented Manuel.

The date progressed and the singles continued to demonstrate that their perceptions were completely opposite. While Manuel was increasingly comfortable with the bachelor, Eros seemed more distant. ''I still work and Manuel is not working right now. So I have more rhythm in my life. "He doesn't like the night and I do," he asserted. But despite his thoughts, Eros continued to show another different side to Manuel, who was more and more delighted with his date. ''What I liked most is the kindness he has had towards me,'' commented the man from Malaga.

In the final stretch of the evening, the couple moved to the program's booth, where the singles had the opportunity to get to know each other better and be sincere. However, Eros continued to show the softer side of him, which confused Manuel. And while he asked her for a second date in the booth, Eros confessed from behind that he didn't like the physique of his date. ''I need him to be well because I take care of myself,'' he clarified.

Furthermore, the singles merged in a passionate kiss, which raised Manuel's hopes. ''A kiss is very important to me,'' he commented. ''When I kissed him I didn't like it,'' declared Eros. In the final decision, Manuel was most disappointed when he discovered that Eros was not interested in him. But despite the initial shock, the bachelor blamed him for his attitude throughout the dinner. ''Why did you ask me for a second date? You've confused me a lot. And why did you kiss me? "I have felt cheated," Manuel asserted while Eros justified his actions.
