Mario Vaquerizo reveals how he celebrated his last anniversary with Alaska: "We spent two days in eternal communion"

Mario Vaquerizo is possibly one of the singular figures of Spanish culture. From performing on all stages in Spain with the Nancys Rubias to capturing his life with Alaska on MTV. A relationship that has been burning for 24 years now, and that does not seem to be going out in the very long term. During such a long relationship, anecdotes and situations of all kinds can happen, and the last of them has been told on live television.

Vaquerizo has appeared this afternoon on the set of Así es la vida, Sandra Barneda's new program on Telecinco, with the idea of talking about her years of experience and her latest experiences. The interview has taken several paths, from the latest tours of Fangoria and Nancys Rubias to the controversy sparked by a Spanish Legion shirt that she posted on Instagram. However, one of the most striking has to do with his anniversary.

As we have previously commented, the singer and television personality has been married to Alaska for 24 years, and in the last of these celebrations Vaquerizo wanted to explain himself in depth with Barneda. According to his words, the media couple disappeared for three days after the man from Madrid went to the Orfila hotel in the Spanish capital. The initial plan to visit museums fell through after the cultural offer was closed as it was Monday.

Given the situation, the couple decided to spend the next two days at Casa Bibiana, a restaurant located in A Coruña. According to Vaquerizo, that was his paradise, and both he and Alaska spent those days in "eternal communion." Within the interview, the singer of the Nancys Rubias also spoke of another celebration that is approaching, that of his 49th birthday: "I love it, I hope I reach 125."

Despite the relaxed atmosphere of the interview, the artist has been under the spotlight of criticism for several days after a photograph published on his Instagram account. As we have previously mentioned; Vaquerizo, returning from tour, showed an image in which he appeared at the Madrid-Barajas airport with a Spanish Legion shirt. The comments about it were mostly not positive.

The matter had already gone a long way both with him and with Alaska, to the point that Jorge Javier Vázquez dedicated an article to them in Lecturas, deriding them for having friendship and labor relations with whom he believes "opposes the achievement of rights and freedoms of the women and the LGTBI collective". Despite the criticism received, the singer has openly defended himself with Sandra Barneda: "Nobody is the one to question me."
