María Patiño, forced to give a bail of 120,000 euros in one day for the case of the Antonio David posters

María Patiño had a difficult day yesterday in Sálvame. The journalist ended up crying and abandoning her connection to the program after she, along with Lydia Lozano, was accused by the space itself of returning the clothes that they lend them for direct shows in poor condition. Today she has received a somewhat more intense judicial blow.

According to what La Vanguardia has been able to know exclusively, the investigating court 34 of Madrid has agreed in an order dated April 14 to open the oral trial for a crime of Injury made with publicity, in relation to the journalist's statements in the Socialité program and where he pointed out, among other information, that Antonio David Flores was responsible for hanging the posters calling him an abuser, and that he had seen images that corroborated this.

In the order to which this medium has had access, the investigating judge, when agreeing to the opening of the oral trial, establishes as a precautionary measure the provision of a deposit of 120,000 euros (amount requested by Antonio David Flores as compensation for damages). granting the defendant, that is, Maria Patiño, a period of 1 day from when she is personally notified to make such provision under penalty of seizure of her assets in sufficient quantity to secure the indicated amount.

The origin of this conflict was the famous posters that appeared in Malaga, around the Flores family home, where they accused him of being an abuser. The presenter assured in the Telecinco Socialité program that "there was a trial where the neighbors went to testify" and that "there were security cameras that proved that Antonio David was the person who hung those posters to point him out as an abuser."

The former civil guard decided to file a complaint, for the crime of libel and slander, and from that action the instruction came out. “María Patiño's statement was taken before the court, the programs where she had made those statements were required. We even contributed the programs, where she was and did not rectify. And the court issued a transformation order and determined that the facts could constitute a crime of insults, ”explained Antonio David's lawyer, Iván Hernández, in a recent live broadcast on the Malaga channel on YouTube.

The transformation order was appealed by Patiño first before a judge and, later, before the Provincial Court, although both appeals were dismissed. This Wednesday there has been evidence of the order to open the oral trial, for which María Patiño will be tried for a crime of insults made with advertising.

Within the described judicial process, the next step will be the writing of the defense of María Patiño that will be sent to the criminal court so that the date to start the trial can be decided.
