This Sunday, on the set of 'Survivientes: Conexión Honduras', a controversy arose with Alma Bollo's statements regarding the category of contestants who came from the 'beach of the forgotten'; María Jesús Ruiz did not hesitate to respond to her words.
Alma Bollo affirmed that she never considered the participants of the "beach of the forgotten" as "second-rate survivors". However, María Jesús Ruiz questioned this statement and pointed out: "That is not true! Forgive me for telling you, Alma, but what you are saying is a true lie."
María Jesús Ruiz argued that she had witnessed how the contestants -Jaime Nava and Artùr Dainese- who rejoined the group from the 'beach of the forgotten' were treated differently and stated that she had noticed a certain "second-class" treatment towards them for part of the other participants.
Faced with these statements, Alma Bollo defended her position, mentioning that she personally had not felt that difference and that the relationship between her and Artùr Dainese had evolved positively over time: "It is not true, the only thing I have never dealt with is Artùr, I didn't know him at all and I didn't have the same relationship. In fact, you can see the evolution of my relationship with Artùr as it has grown little by little".
Despite Alma Bollo's response, María Jesús Ruiz maintained her position and stressed that the impact of the arrival of contestants who had not seen her for a long time was notorious.
Other former contestants also expressed their opinions on the matter. Ana María Aldón, who was in Honduras, considered that Artùr was integrated into the group despite having spent two months in isolation and assured that the atmosphere was one of total unity.
Manuel Cortés, for his part, acknowledged that there was an initial clash with Artùr due to his strong personality and his way of doing things, but denied that it was something as serious as argued by María Jesús Ruiz.
The statements on the set of 'Survivors: Honduras Connection' have generated controversy and evidenced the diversity of opinions among the former contestants on the integration of the participants of the 'beach of the forgotten'. The debate is still open.
