Homophobia has no place in any public sphere. And this is how RTVE's director of general content, José Pablo López, made it clear after the unnecessary attack suffered at the hands of a viewer due to the changes that are taking place in the Corporation since his arrival.
In fact, López, who has an impeccable career as a television professional, first at 13TV and later at Telemadrid, launched a strong message through social networks for those who criticize him on a personal level.
"The control of the gay lobby in RTVE continues," began the comment of an González will present Corazón on TVE with Anne Igartiburu after the disaster at La Plaza.
Faced with the direct attack on the content director of the public channel, López did not hesitate to respond forcefully. "Enough of homophobia on RTVE hidden in ghost accounts that we all know who runs them," he said, completely indignant.
To then conclude the message on his personal profile with: "My professional activity is subject to criticism, but my sexual orientation concerns only me. Your hatred should concern us all,"
After what happened, there have been many well-known faces who have come out in defense of the RTVE director, showing their support. Among others, the journalist Paloma del Río, who wrote: "You are indecent people hidden in an alias. Show your face, with your name and surname, since you are so brave. And leave people alone."
Carla Antonelli also wanted to show her solidarity with José Pablo López: "All the support José Pablo, yes, we all know who they are. Then the first to tear their clothes when a crime or hate crime is committed, when they are a collaborator and instigator of the same. That you are a great professional is unquestionable and that stings them. A hug."
Even one of the names that appears in the message, Jordi González, wanted to support his boss by sending a very sarcastic message: "Your sexual condition, your zodiac sign and your lucky number are not 'debatable'. That's what my boss told me. grandmother thirty years ago."
