Jordi González's sharp cut to Melody in full direct of 'Lazos de Sangre': ''You don't shut up even under water''

This past Tuesday, Radio Televisión Española broadcast a new installment of its Lazos de Sangre format. On this occasion, the space of the public channel broadcast the documentary focused on the figure of the great Pepa Flores, or better known as Marisol. It addressed her entire professional career, which she would start from a very young age and how that caused her childhood to be marked by labor exploitation.

After the broadcast, the debate on the documentary began, presented by Jordi González. Beatriz Cortázar, Paloma García-Pelayo, Marta Nebot, Juan Sanguino, Nacho Montes and the singer Melody also participated in the space. During more than an hour of the program, the collaborators addressed all the topics that were dealt with in the special. In the midst of these conversations, the guest artist and the presenter were the protagonists of a somewhat peculiar moment.

The artist was one of the key guests of the program, since she lived an experience similar to Pepa Flores. At just ten years old, she became one of the most popular figures in our country due to the song El baile del gorilla, released in 2001.

At one point in the program, the artist performed one of Marisol's most famous songs. After the musical performance, the team asked Melody if she saw any parallels with her career and that of Pepa Flores. She categorically denied this statement, since, as she explained, at no time did she separate her from her parents, nor did they force her to work long hours.

The collaborator Paloma García-Pelayo then asked him what his life would have been like if he had lived an experience similar to the one Pepa Flores lived. The singer did not pay special attention to the question and she began to tell an anecdote from her past. At that moment the presenter launched an unexpected cut. ''You don't shut up even under water,'' she commented.

Upon hearing this phrase, the singer without any consideration responded to the presenter. ''As? You have talked the entire program and I have not said anything, now it's my turn. I have not come just to sing, I have come to give my opinion", she declared. After the answer, Jordi González agreed with her and the guest began to tell the anecdote that she had prepared.
