Isabel Preysler gives the last minute on the state of health of Enrique Iglesias

Last Sunday, May 14, Enrique Iglesias announced through his social networks that he was forced to cancel his scheduled performance at the Tecate Emblema music festival in Mexico City as a result of illness. According to the released statement, the interpreter of topics such as Hero or Loco suffered from pneumonia, and the doctors ordered him to rest completely. Now it has been his mother, Isabel Preysler, who has come out and revealed how the artist is after this bump in his health.

After learning the news, the 48-year-old artist regretted through Instagram stories having to cancel the performance, especially in a country that has shown him great affection throughout his musical career. "I have pneumonia and the doctors have advised me to rest completely and prohibited me from getting on the plane," he began by expressing. "I am frankly sad for what the cancellation of this show means in a country that has given me so much," he lamented, visibly affected.

"I hope to recover quickly and be able to be with you again in top form very soon. I apologize a thousand times and send a big hug to all my fans," he expressed on his official Instagram profile. Some of the artists that performed at the aforementioned festival were One Republic, Melanie C, Belinda, Niki, Pabllo Vittar, The Driver Era, Alizzz, Black Eyed Peas, Bizarrap, Camilo, Becky G, Roisin Murphy, Emilia, Lasso and Moenia, among others.

Now, after being in absolute rest throughout the week, it has been Isabel Preysler, the artist's mother, who has given the part of the interpreter's state of health. "It has been a scare, but fortunately he is already home. My son is very responsible and for him it has been a great upset to have had to cancel the concert because he is a great professional," he revealed to the journalist Carlos Pérez Gimeno.

The mother of Tamara Falcó and Ana Boyer has reassured all the singer's followers. According to herself, Enrique Iglesias is already recovering. "Fortunately, he is recovering, although he is still in bed, and we trust that in a few days he can return to his professional activity," she said. Very good news for all those who hope to see him soon on stage.

While Enrique recovers from his pneumonia, his fans 'compensate' for his absence on stage with his new musical release. The singer has just relaunched the video clip of his song Héroe, one of his most mythical works. The song is so mythical that even Rosalía is interpreting it in the second part of her Motomami tour, which goes through different festivals around the world, one of them, the famous Coachella. The video clip, for its part, stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and in it you can also see Mickey Rourke as a villain.
