Three years have passed since the death of Mayte Vázquez, mother of Irene Rosales. A tragic moment that Kiko Rivera's wife is still trying to overcome, since the tragic death of her parent when she was only 54 years old due to a serious illness left the influencer totally devastated.
"She was a woman who has been taking care of everyone, looking out for everyone and prioritizing the well-being of others over her own," Irene Rosales confessed in an interview. For this reason, the Sevillian does not forget important dates, nor the day on which she would have turned 57, July 2; moment in which she has sent him an emotional message through her public Instagram profile.
"Congratulations to heaven", the Sevillian begins by writing, "Today you would have your birthday, mommy, and I would give my life to hug you, but I'll settle for feeling you." Irene Rosales continues with her message, charged with emotion and full of gratitude: "Thank you for being the best mother. I love you madly. I miss you so much that my soul hurts," she concludes.
Mayte Vázquez was loved by the whole family, also by the Pantoja clan, with whom she got along especially well. What's more, Isabel Pantoja personally went to the Camas funeral home where the mortal remains of her mother-in-law rested.
During the years that they met, the Pantojas had nothing but good words for her. Anabel Pantoja, to give an example, assured that the mother of Irene Rosales had been "all her life taking care of her entire family", with the addition of the illness of her husband, who fought for almost two decades against a brain tumor and that unfortunately he passed away shortly after her.
In those hard moments, Kiko Rivera remained by his wife's side as one of her great supporters, but also with his brothers: Mari Tere, Manuel, Carlos and Vanesa; for whom she feels adoration and who have welcomed her as one more.
The absence of the parents of the Rosales brothers united them more than ever, and it marked the lives of all of them forever. Irene ended up retiring from television and choosing to live a quieter and more anonymous life with her daughters, Ana and Carlota. Kiko Rivera's wife has always stood out for being a very familiar person, something that her parents taught her, and so she wanted it to be with her own family.
On October 7, 2016, Irene Rosales and Kiko Rivera said 'yes, I want' surrounded by family and friends, on a day they will never forget. According to Kiko, after having met Irene Rosales's family, she preferred their concept of family and not the one that had been instilled in her throughout her childhood. "When I met Irene I have known things that I did not know. I was delighted with my family but now I have realized that there are people who have another concept".
