Gonzalo Hermida and Coti win 'Incredible Duos' with a spectacular performance in "tribute to Spanish song"

The second edition of Incredible Duos reached its grand finale this Tuesday with the victory of one of the most synchronized couples of the season, the one formed by Coti and Gonzalo Hermida. The artists not only vibrated on stage performing a version of two legendary songs, but also made the spectators vibrate.

His triumph is a “homage to Spanish song,” said the Argentine singer-songwriter once he performed this unique piece on the set of TVE's La 1. Because the performers were moved, but they also managed to move those present in the audience, the rest of their colleagues and, of course, the spectators from their homes.

The final gala of Duos Increíbles never ceased to surprise the audience. First with the version of Xavi Martínez, the talent show host, of the famous Black is Black by Los Bravos; then for the brilliant performances of the finalists, who fought until the last moment to take over from Miguel Poveda and Antonio José.

However, none could surpass the brand new performance of one of the most beloved duets, that of Coti and Gonzalo Hermida. The couple of artists, who had emerged as favorites, did three amazing rounds. In the first duel they performed Por la boca vivir elfish, by Fito and Fitipaldis, achieving 82 points.

In the second round, the favorites sang Before we see the sun, by Coti himself, and, once again, the public chose the Argentine and the Spanish to add points in the ranking. At that time, they were in first place with 150 points. It was in the third round where Coti and Gonzalo Hermida swept the rest of the opponents.

On this occasion, the duo chose a version of two well-known songs from our country: Devuélveme la vida, by Antonio Orozco, and Although you don't know it, by Enrique Urquijo. Coti and Gonzalo Hermida went on stage surrounded by candles and, facing each other, each one at a piano, they sang with special sensitivity these two well-known hymns of Spanish song.

“It is a tribute to the great Enrique Urquijo and a tribute to Spanish song,” the Argentine made clear at the end. A moving performance that led them to victory and to distribute the 25,000 euros prize for the Spanish Association against Cancer.
