First images of Jessica Capshaw's return to 'Grey's Anatomy'

The Grey's Anatomy viewer has never had to wait ten months to see new episodes. I had not been so orphaned by medical cases and love affairs in Seattle neither when there was the writers' strike of 2007-2008, nor when there was a global pandemic in 2020. But, after this wait caused by a new writers' strike and another of actors, the public can finally see light at the end of the tunnel: the series returns on March 14 in the United States and we have a first trailer with Arizona Robbins.

We had already announced it. Actress Jessica Capshaw, who played the pediatric surgeon, will return as a guest actress. It will be her return after saying goodbye to her in 2018, when creator Shonda Rhimes and showrunner Krista Vernoff considered that the character had already given a lot of herself after 224 episodes on the roster. “Who wants to make history?” she asks the hospital residents.

As we can see in the images, residents will be put in a bind. Nick Marsh (Scott Speedman) even considers firing one of them although the viewer cannot know the reason from the images. And, as Bailey (Chandra Wilson) makes clear to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), this leads her to think about the residents she trained, including Gray herself: “Do you think your promotion wasn't as terrible as it was? this?".

Among the most notable appearances in the trailer, apart from Capshaw or Pompeo who continues with her decision to appear recurring on Grey's Anatomy after abandoning her permanent role the previous season, is Natalie Morales, who will play Monica Beltran, another pediatric surgeon, who It seems that he will face Amelia (Caterina Scorsone). Or perhaps we should interpret her first interactions as the beginning of sexual tension?

As a result of the delays resulting from the strikes, season 20 of Grey's Anatomy will also be the shortest: it will only consist of 10 episodes, which in Spain will be seen through Disney.
