'Fargo' turns up the comedy volume with the fifth season trailer

Fargo is synonymous with comedy. A sense of comedy, yes, very black, with which Noah Hawley, the creator of the television adaptation, takes the Coen brothers' film as a reference to bring its essence to his field. But whoever takes a look at the trailer for the fifth season may be in for a surprise. Could it be that the new episodes are more light-hearted than usual?

The cast, as usual, attracts attention. It has Juno Temple after her three Emmy nominations for her work in Ted Lasso or a promising young man like Joe Keery who is trying to be appreciated beyond Stranger Things, which has yet to air its final season. In addition, Jennifer Jason Leigh (Atypical), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Richa Moorjani (Never Have I Ever) and Lamorne Morris (New Girl) round out the cast.

In Fargo, Temple plays Dot, an ordinary housewife who turns out to be carrying a lot of secrets. She is wanted by a sheriff who believes himself above the law (Hamm) and his son desperate to have her approval (Keery), she has her mother-in-law (Leigh) against her and even the Minnesota police notice her (Moorjani and Morris ). What none of them expect is that, despite her harmless appearance, Dot has an unerring survival instinct.

The season, which will have 10 episodes, this time is set in 2019 after the trip to the 50s that the previous one entailed. Noah Hawley, as usual, remains on the payroll as writer, director and showrunner. Movistar Plus has the broadcast rights to Fargo in Spain and will launch the season on November 29.
