This past Monday was the day that Dani Alves left the Can Brians 2 prison, in Sant Esteve Sesrovires. The former player of FC Barcelona, Sevilla and Mexican Pumas left the penitentiary center after his defense deposited the bail of one million euros imposed by the judge. A fact that has generated controversy in recent days, as well as reactions from all possible corners and of all kinds.
One of the last occurred yesterday afternoon, when the former soccer player's mother spoke out through several stories on her Instagram profile. Lucía Alves shared up to three different publications to celebrate the release of her son. The first of them was accompanied by a photograph of the accused with a close friend: “Friends forever. Together to infinity and beyond. “God always commands.”
This last phrase was repeated in the second publication shared by Lucía, this time a joint photograph of mother and son: “God always commands. I love you my son". The third and last, already published during the last hours of Monday, sent a message with religious connotations to thank Dani Alves for being free. It was the lyrics of the song Passa Lá em Casa Jesus, by Kailane Frauches.
“And look at the answer that Jesus gives you today. Son, I'm going to your problem. Son, I'm going there, for me there is no dilemma. The promise is not dead, the inheritance still stands. Don't lose faith. Get up. Get up, there is life. There is life, there is life. Come through the house, Jesus,” the verses say. Afterwards, Lucía Alves has insisted on her messages through her social networks, sharing three other short publications as the hours passed.
“Back home. God is always faithful”, “Free, now he will be able to prove his innocence” and “With your head held high, just as you always did. God knows you are innocent” were some of the messages he sent, all of them thanking God or with some writing of a religious nature to celebrate what happened. A release that came after an extensive debate on a multitude of platforms about the bail of one million euros.
Alves' initial sentence was four and a half years in prison for the crime of rape, but he has finally been released on bail in the absence of a final sentence. At first there was talk that Neymar da Silva Santos, father of his former teammate in Barça and the Brazilian team, would pay said amount; but he finally ended up ignoring it. The payment ended up being made with the collaboration of several friends of the Carioca.
