Carlos Latre has returned to his position as a jury member in the new edition of Tu cara me Sonya, which is sweeping Antena 3's Friday nights. The comedian has earned the affection of viewers with his recurring appearances on television, but , especially with his role in the imitation program. So much so, that he is one of the most recognized faces in space.
But it seems that not everything has been happiness in his life, both personal and professional. Something that she has not hesitated to talk about on Vicky Martín Berrocal's podcast A solas con..., where she has opened up more than ever.
In the 55 minutes of the program, the comedian reviewed his career. And he can boast of having achieved great success since his incorporation into Crónicas Marcianas, where he became well known for his imitations. However, as he stated in the podcast, "we all go down into the mud."
Without hesitation, he has confessed that he has become ruined by bad decisions he has made throughout his life. "When Crónicas Marcianas ended, I signed for the recently released Cuatro and there they offered me a sitcom in which they signed me for three seasons," he began to relate. A series that did not work as it should and was canceled after five episodes.
A hard blow for Carlos Latre, because he decided to invest all his money when he saw the potential of this fiction: "I paid for all the costumes and equipment for three seasons." After this, he was totally ruined, unable to pay the mortgage. "I came home and said I didn't even have money to pay the rent or the house payment," he said.
But far from sinking, he decided that it was time to open his path and not focus only on television. "I changed the dynamics, I started doing theater, I changed managers and I started selling myself as a brand," she added.
At that time, things began to go better for him, until the "decline" returned. One in which he did not go completely bankrupt, but it was "a very big blow." Even so, in difficult times he had the support of his wife, Yolanda. And it is exactly her that he has not hesitated to talk about either.
A relationship that began in 2004 and that had a two-year pause in 2015, before resuming it in 2017. "There was a moment of pause on my part that lasted two years. It was not a question of sexuality, love or looking for other things. I simply had the vital need to see that I had grown up, that I had done everything with her and that I needed individuality to know who I was and what I wanted," she revealed.
Even though it was his decision, she took it very well and "understood it perfectly." This respite was so good for the couple that, as she explains, when they returned it was as if "nothing had happened."
