Candela Peña is one of the most popular actresses in our country. The Catalan actress has just finished filming what will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated series on Netflix. And after the great success of the fiction The Body on Fire, starring Úrsula Corberó and Quim Gutiérrez and which recreates the media crime of the Guardia Urban, the American platform has decided to bet on a new fiction based on the well-known crime of Asunta Basterra.
This new series, which will star Candela Peña and Tristán Ulloa, will recreate the murder of little Asunta, who was only 12 years old at the hands of her parents, Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra, in the Galician municipality of Teo. At the moment, the exact name of the fiction and the release date are unknown, but everything seems to indicate that it will be released next year.
But getting into the shoes of Rosario Porto was not an easy task for Candela Peña, who a few weeks ago revealed in the program presented by Marc Giró on La 2, Late Xou, that at first the directors of the series wanted her to make another character and that the first time she saw herself portrayed as Asunta's mother she had a panic attack.
''When they put the wig on me I started vomiting like there was no tomorrow. And there came a time when I said something bad is happening (...) An ambulance had to come because I wouldn't stop. And what I had in the end was fear. But he had to empty me so that the one with the wig could enter,' she claimed.
Despite the initial setback and how hard the filming was, the performer ended up performing the role without any major problems. And one of the great virtues of the Catalan woman is that she achieves everything she sets her mind to. Something that she has also wanted to translate into her physical and mental well-being.
The actress shared a publication on her social networks in which she showed all her followers the incredible change that her body had undergone after staying in shape and eating a balanced diet. ''Older lady without a filter, but with a cell phone, temperature regulator and pride in achieving or at least getting closer to the objectives. THANK YOU,' she confessed.
