"I was never as wild as the press wanted to make me out to be," says the artist about that time, insisting that she never had problems with other substances. "It gave me a high, but I found it much more appealing because it gave me a few hours of feeling less depressed."
The medication also causes a terrible addiction.
The singer does not remember that time exactly fondly, because according to her, her parents became even stricter at that time. Last year, the artist recalled how her mother, Lynne Spears, had slapped her hard precisely for one of these nights out with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Coupled with this terrible addiction, the singer added the habit of taking another antidepressant medication, in order to try to forget the end of her three-year relationship with Justin Timberlake.
