Borja Prado, president of Mediaset España, will leave his position soon a year and a half after his appointment, as reported by the newspaper El Economista. The businessman was elected president of the Fuencarral group on April 20, initiating what has been the controversial change in the chain's policies.

With the CEO, Alessandro Salem, in charge of executive power in the chain. Specifically with Salem he had a strong disagreement regarding the future of one of the main figures of the group, Jorge Javier Vázquez, who could not help but share his feelings on social networks as soon as he found out about the dismissal of the president of the chain.

“A very big shame. We always miss the best ones,” wrote Jorge Javier Vázquez in X (former Twitter). As expected, his heartfelt words have quickly gone viral, with hundreds of users wanting to comment on it.

“Yours has been the revenge,” said one of them. “She will go down in history as the most useless guy, she has done tremendous damage,” said another. “He's leaving, but I'm afraid he's taken the network by storm,” says another, this being one of the most popular arguments in the thread.

Prado and Vázquez never got along very well. The manager arrived at the group after the departure of Paolo Vasile and, from that moment, everything went up in smoke. As soon as he took office, he canceled Sálvame after 14 years on the air, and shortly after, they opted for a new whiter and more family-friendly television from the hand of Ana Rosa Quintana, leaving the future of Badalona completely in question.

A future that has been talked about a lot, especially after the cancellation of the presenter's last program, Cuentos Chinos, just three weeks after its premiere. A bet that was very risky when competing in prime time at night with heavyweights like El Hormiguero by Pablo Motos.

Rumors of a possible dismissal of Jorge Javier Vázquez have been circulating for months, since it was popular that Borja Prado did not want the presenter on the network, even though his contract with Mediaset was scheduled until 2025 -Paolo Vasile assured his continuity before leaving- , but it seems that fate has wanted Prado to be the one to abandon ship first.

What will happen to Jorge Javier Vázquez now that Borja Prado is out of Mediaset España is a mystery, but it is known to everyone that he has the support of Alessandro Salem.
