These have been very difficult days for actress Ashley Park and her family. The artist is recovering in the hospital after suffering a serious health problem that could have cost her her life.

As the Emily in Paris star revealed on her social networks, she was enjoying her vacation at the end of December when the tonsillitis she was suffering from worsened considerably and turned into an infection that caused "critical septic shock," the which affected "several" organs.

''As I sit here processing and recovering from the first weeks of 2024, the only word that comes to mind is grateful. While I was on New Year's vacation in December, what started as tonsillitis turned into critical septic shock, infecting and affecting several of my organs. I am grateful that my health has improved despite what they had initially told us,'' the young interpreter wrote in the post in which you can see different photographs of the hospital.

The actress wanted to publicly thank her partner, Emily in Paris actor Paul Forman, for having helped and accompanied her during this very complicated process: ''You calmed my fears and kept me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, terrifying emergencies, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain, and so much confusion while we were alone on the other side of the world away from those we know. I love you Paul. More than I can ever say.''

For his part, the actor published two snapshots with his girlfriend and launched a public declaration of love that has enamored the thousands of followers they have in common: ''By your side, no matter what happens.''

Finally, Park wanted to thank the team of doctors who have cared for him during the last few weeks for their work: ''I am deeply grateful to all the ICU doctors and nurses who worked tirelessly and especially to the @JoaliBeing team for responding immediately and staying with me to provide language translations and vital support. Endless thanks to my personal team of heroes at home who were on insurance calls, Paul, my parents, and doctors at all hours (you know who you are).''

Thousands of fans of the series in which young people star have echoed the comment that actress Lilly Collins has left on Ashley's publication, a message full of love and affection that shows how united everyone is on the set of fiction.

''I can barely watch this without crying. I love you sister and I will be forever grateful that you are on the other side of this and to you, Paul Forman, for your incredibly huge heart and for being there every step of the way. "I can't wait to hug you both," said the young woman who plays young Emily in the Netflix series.
