Ana Obregón releases a statement to end rumors about her donations to the Aless Lequio Foundation

A few days ago, rumors began to emerge about some irregularities on the part of the actress and presenter Ana García Obregón in the accounts of the Aless Lequio Foundation, an entity that the biologist created after the death of her 27-year-old son to help raise money for the cancer research.

According to different media outlets and journalists dedicated to the gossip press, Obregón had not donated the proceeds from the sales of the book El Chico de las Musañaras (a work that her son started and she finished), as she originally promised. In addition, the woman would not have paid an agreed portion of the money she earned with some exclusives in tabloid magazines. Tired of the rumors and of her work and that of her foundation being called into question, the artist has issued a statement.

The text, which has been disseminated through social networks, defends Obregón's innocence, his honor and his cause, as well as clarifies that the board has not made any type of statement to any media about the company's accounting movements. entity, since they ensure the privacy of the Foundation itself and its donors.

The text also confirms that Obregón has donated all the copyrights of the aforementioned book to the Foundation, but that the money has not yet been 'delivered' for legal reasons: ''This donation of copyrights is subject to contractual form at the end of the fiscal year that has not yet been closed to be effective (...) Said donation, at the express request of the president Ms. Ana García Obregón, once settled will be deposited directly from the publisher to the Foundation Aless Lequio''.

In addition to making it clear that the money he has earned with the successful book will reach the Foundation's accounts in a few weeks, the statement states that Obregón has carried out, over the last few months, different initiatives to raise money: a auction of her mother's handbag, a benefit concert in honor of her father, etc.

The text says goodbye by thanking the actress and Don Aurelio Palomo for their generosity, since they helped create the entity together with different companies and anonymous donors. Furthermore, the statement reveals that, for the moment, the Foundation has contributed around €200,000 to research into Ewing's Sarcoma at the national and European level.

Along with the statement, Obregón wrote a few words: ''The only thing I dedicate myself to, body and soul, is the foundation and Anita. It seems that in this world, dedicating your time to helping others to try to save lives is a crime. I would love to know what all those who spit snakes out of their mouths, completely uninformed, do for others (...) Do something good and stop poisoning.''
