As published by the magazine Hello!, the newborn is her granddaughter, the daughter of her son Alessandro Lequio, who died three years ago from cancer: "This was Aless's last will, to bring a son into the world." , has explained. The minor's full name is Ana Sandra Lequio Obregón.
Last Wednesday the magazine Hello! published on its cover that Ana Obregón had been "mother of a girl by surrogate pregnancy in Miami", news that ignited both social and political debate.
''The first thing you have to know is that this girl is not my daughter, but my granddaughter. She is the daughter of Aless and when she grows up I will tell her that her father was a hero '', she has begun clarifying the presenter. Shortly after, she has clarified that surrogacy is legal in the state of Florida.
"Here it is something very normalized and everyone thinks it is very good. Everyone has congratulated me, without any further problem. From the doctors to the nurses and the pediatricians. There is no debate here. Look, I have not moved from this apartment just to go to the pediatrician", he began by explaining.
