Alexandra of Luxembourg and Nicolas Bagory celebrate their religious wedding in Provence, France

These are happy times in the Royal Family of Luxembourg. Princess Alexandra, the fourth daughter of the Grand Dukes, Henri and Maria Teresa, married Nicolas Bagory last week in a civil ceremony held at the Luxembourg City Hall. However, this celebration has not been the only one, since this weekend both have gone through the altar again in a religious ceremony, although this time it has taken place in the French Provence, specifically in Bormes-les-Mimosas.

The religious ceremony was officiated by the Bishop of Frejus-Toulon, Dominique Rey, and was held in the Church of Saint-Trophyme. It is a strategic site, as it is only fifteen minutes by car from the private summer residence that the Grand Dukes have in Cabasson. A place where young Alexandra has spent long summer seasons with her brothers and relatives, so it is a very special place for her. That reason would have led her to want to marry a second time there.

The ceremony was scheduled for 4:00 p.m. this Saturday, but the bride arrived 18 minutes late. Among the guests it has been possible to see the little brothers of the bride, Prince Luis and Prince Sebastián, who have arrived smiling with their children. They have also been seen at the entrance to the chapel Félix de Luxemburgo and Princess Claire, among many others. Of course, all of the most elegant.

Very excited and happy, Princess Alexandra walked arm in arm with her father as she arrived at the church. For her big day, she has chosen a design with an original intertwined neckline and a long rounded train, as well as a very non-traditional veil with small encrusted diamonds and white high-heeled shoes. Without a doubt, she was a beautiful bride, and everyone around her couldn't help but admire her.

Regarding the hairstyle, the 32-year-old girl has opted this time for a low updo. One of her unknowns was which tiara she was going to choose, but she finally opted for the diamond Chaumet Tiara. It is a piece that the Grand Duchess has worn on several occasions accompanied by pearls, but since they are removable, her daughter has preferred not to wear them. A piece that reflects the family tradition and their union.

As we said, this wedding has come a week after the civil wedding that took place on April 22 in Luxembourg. At that link, the Grand Duchess spoke some beautiful words that captivated everyone. "There is no greater joy than a son finding happiness," she expressed then. The princess has said 'yes, I want' with Nicolas, 34, born in Brittany and academically trained in Classical Studies and Political Science. Without a doubt, the couple hopes to be the happiest in this new stage.
