Alba Silva, Sergio Rico's wife, gives the last minute of the footballer's condition: "We hold on to whatever"

These have been very hard days for the family and those close to footballer Sergio Rico. The Andalusian athlete has played for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for several seasons and last Sunday he traveled to El Rocío to attend the fair that was being held, although he had just played the previous Saturday in Strasbourg.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper was enjoying the Andalusian festivity when he suffered a spectacular fall and was later kicked by the horse he was riding. Due to the seriousness of the matter, the Sevillian was urgently evacuated by helicopter by the health services. According to a first medical report, he suffered a head injury and his condition was ''stable within gravity''.

After several days in the hospital, Rico's situation continues to be critical, which greatly worries his closest environment, relatives and family. His girlfriend, Alba Silva, shared a tender photo yesterday on her Instagram profile showing her sincere love and her sadness for the tragedy they are experiencing.

''Don't leave me alone, my love, because I swear that I can't, nor do I know how to live without you. We are waiting for you my life, we love you so much,'' the influencer said in a post that soon filled with hundreds of comments of support and affection for the soccer player.

The goalkeeper's girlfriend made it very serious this morning before journalists from Europa Press that Sergio Rico is stable in the ICU with sedatives and that there is no significant evolution or change in his state of health.

When the reporter who was interviewing her reflected that in these cases "not having news is good news," the young Andalusian nodded resignedly: "We'll hold on to anything."

The terrible accident suffered by the former Sevilla player has had a strong social response from his followers around the world and from thousands of people who wish him a speedy recovery on social networks.

PSG, the team where he currently plays, has canceled its Foundation's annual gala dinner out of respect for the footballer and the Sevillian team in which he played for many seasons assures that hopefully they can dedicate the Europa League victory to him and that get better very soon.

At the present moment, every small evolution counts, since every day passed is an achievement. The family is looking forward to the player waking up and showing that he is a strong man who still has a lot to live for.

These types of accidents are very dangerous because they damage the brain and can affect an endless number of vital functions, so the next few hours for the Sevillian will be decisive to see if everything is left in a fright and if life has given him a second chance.
