Alba Silva, Sergio Rico's wife, gives the last minute of the footballer's condition: "I would love to tell you something more positive''

Last Sunday, May 28, the famous pilgrimage was held in El Rocío, Huelva. Although he had attended a match in Strasbourg on Saturday, Sergio Rico traveled to Spain after the match so as not to miss the Huelva event and enjoy the festive atmosphere with his family and friends.

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player was having a nice day in the country when he fell off the horse he was riding. Once on the ground, the Sevillian footballer suffered a kick from the animal, which was very nervous. After a quick evaluation in which the doctors assured that it was something serious, the health workers transferred the Andalusian athlete by helicopter to the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville. Later, the professionals announced that his condition was ''stable within gravity'', as he had suffered a head injury.

Although five days have passed since Rico had the accident, everything is still the same as when he arrived at the medical center. The athlete is sedated in the ICU and the doctors tell the family that "every day is decisive" and that "every hour counts."

The family and those closest to the footballer are living an absolute nightmare. His wife, Alba Silva, published a tender photo on Instagram in which she asked her to please resist and that they were waiting for her: "Don't leave me alone, my love, because I swear to you that I can't, nor do I know how to live without you. We are waiting for you my life, we love you so much.

Once again, the press has asked the influencer if there is any news in the case and she has sadly answered no, that everything remains the same and that it is a very frustrating situation: "I would love to tell you something more positive."

The days go by and the situation is increasingly hopeless. The young man's partner and his family try to keep smiling, but it is difficult considering that these injuries can cause all kinds of damage to the brain and affect different vital functions. It should be noted that despite the hard time that he is going through, Silva is attending to the different media with affection and gratitude, something very admirable.

Since the news broke, social networks have been filled with comments of encouragement and good wishes for the player to have a speedy recovery. In addition, Sevilla, the team where he played for years, dedicated their victory to Rico in the Europa League final.

''I'm sure your forces will reach him. Thank you with all my heart," Silva said in an Instagram story after seeing how thousands of people from all over the world sent him messages of encouragement and affection.
