Alba Silva reveals the significant name she will give to her daughter with Sergio Rico

Alba Silva is very happy and excited, and you can see that just by looking at her. The Sevillian journalist announced a few days ago with her husband, Sergio Rico, that they were expecting the arrival of their first baby together. Two years after her marriage and just a few months after experiencing her worst moments, after the PSG goalkeeper suffered an accident that almost cost him his life.

A few nightmarish months after which the marriage reemerged more united than ever and in which they saw how fate rewarded them with its happiest news: the arrival of their baby. A girl, for whom they have already chosen a name, which her famous mother has revealed on her Instagram profile in a tender message.

"Our first fair together, little Carla," the Seville journalist begins by saying, revealing to her followers the name they have chosen for their little girl. "Excitement and happiness when I take you inside," she confesses, with emotion, in the middle of the April Fair in Seville.

This will be the first baby for the couple, who wanted to choose a name with special meaning for their daughter. "We still don't know you and we already love you," they assured her little Carla a few days ago.

The name, Carla, has Germanic origin and means "free", in addition to referring to qualifiers for women such as "powerful" or "strong." Curious, born leaders and independent, women who have this name always worry about everything around them and know how to listen. They are romantic and excel in creative professions; in addition to having great speaking skills and being excellent confidants.

A name that fits like a glove to the baby whose arrival his parents await with immense enthusiasm and joy. "Without knowing what you would be, I already loved you," they commented, before revealing the sex of the little girl to their more than 200,000 followers in an emotional video on Instagram.

A moment of peace after Sergio Rico's dramatic accident in the El Rocío pilgrimage in May 2023, for which he was urgently admitted to the hospital for several weeks in an induced coma. A moment in which he feared for his life, after suffering a craniocerebral trauma, and from which he miraculously emerged practically unscathed.

Now that almost a year later they have received approval to return to football, the couple seems to already see the light when coming out of the tunnel. "Like the ray of light after the storm... that's how you come into our lives, baby," said the Sevillian journalist.
