The dating show par excellence on the small screen has reopened its doors for one more night. Like every day, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed different diners, who had not had luck when it came to finding love in their daily lives and who chose to show up to First Dates with the hope of leaving the restaurant on the hand of the right person.
One of the dates of the night was the one starring Rafael and Pili. The 70-year-old bachelor arrived at the restaurant claiming to be an extroverted person and who also did not give importance to age, since "he believed in the spirit of people and the attitude towards life." After the death of his wife, the bachelor was willing to find love again, but he had to be a "beautiful at heart" woman.
His date was going to be Pili, a 54-year-old single woman, who claimed to be "a gem of a person" and also considered herself a very modern dresser. ''Physically I didn't like it at all and the mustache even less so, because I don't like mustaches that cover the entire mouth,'' the single woman declared as soon as she saw Rafael.
After learning about their places of residence and their aspirations in life, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where the evening was going to begin. The bachelor confessed that his main reason for showing up at Cuatro's space was to escape loneliness. In addition, the single woman discovered that her date was 16 years older than her. ''When I was young I liked them older, my husband was 14 years older than me, but now I like them younger,'' Pili declared.
Moments later, Pili confessed that she was not a big sports fan. Something that didn't make Rafael particularly excited. ''He doesn't take care of himself when it comes to hiking, losing weight, that's why he looks older than he is,'' said the bachelor.
The date progressed and the singles did not seem to be getting along in any way. But the tension between them increased when Rafael confessed that sex was very important to him. ''You can't live without sex,'' he said. ''It seemed too direct to me. You can talk about sex, but I didn't like the way it came in,'' she said. ''The topic of sex can come up, but more gently. I didn't like it,'' Pili stressed.
In the final stretch of the evening, the singles were more than clear that they were not going to share a romantic date again. Furthermore, Pili did not hesitate and confessed that she was hoping to meet someone younger. In the final decision there were no surprises and both refused to have a second meeting.
