First Dates, the most romantic program on television, welcomed new single couples on Tuesday night, who came to the Cuatro program presented by Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado with the intention of finding their soul mate. But television space does not always fulfill its particular mission.
Something that Alexia experienced firsthand, a 43-year-old Catalan comedian, childless and very expressive. ''I don't know how to lie, nor do I try because I wouldn't succeed,'' she declared. Her love life had been a bit chaotic, since until very recently she did not accept her sexual orientation. ''I'm looking for a person who is masculine,'' she said. And although she was open to meeting people of different sexes, Alexia confessed that now she herself wanted to meet women more.
His date was going to be Liz, a 36-year-old Colombian, who defined herself as a "sexy, curious, crazy, down-to-earth" person who "enjoys" life. The first impression between the two was very good. ''She seemed to me to be a very pretty girl, things are what they are,'' Alexia declared.
After exchanging their first words and discovering their places of residence, the presenter made an appearance and accompanied the couple to their table, where the evening would begin in a very different way. And Laura Boado approached them to take their dinner orders. They both decided to let themselves be carried away by the names and Alexia responded: ''I love green lips, but I'm going to stick with the sailor kiss.''
This response did not go unnoticed by Liz, who immediately gave him a very sensual hint. ''And you don't like red lips?'' declared the single woman. But Alexia couldn't understand that her quote was referring to her red lips. ''We started strong,'' declared Laura Boado. ''It goes with a fixed gear,'' Alexia assured. ''I'm very flirtatious, I like mischief,'' Liz explained.
Moments later, Alexia left Liz speechless by confessing that she was a comedian. ''I love it, my dream is to be a stand-up comedian,'' Liz commented. In addition, Alexia said that she had come to the program to have a good time, since she had just gotten out of a complicated relationship.
For her part, Liz explained that she knew from a very young age what her sexual orientation was. ''I was the first girl to come out of the closet in my town, in Colombia,'' she revealed. ''I'm very sexual, but that doesn't make me go with just anyone to have sex,'' Liz commented. ''I was injured by my ex-partner,'' Alexia confessed.
In the final stretch, both noticed that, despite having gotten along in certain aspects, they had not felt the necessary spark to start a love story. Therefore, in the final decision, both rejected each other as a romantic couple, but left the door open to a beautiful friendship.
