A single woman from 'First Dates' discovers an unprecedented fact about her date and it scares her: ''I don't want a man like that''

New installment of the most romantic program on the small screen, First Dates. On Thursday night, the presenters welcomed a new batch of diners, who came to Cuatro's space with the aim of enjoying an unparalleled experience and, if possible, finding the person of their dreams.

One of the dates of the night was the one starring Mari Carmen and Carlos. The 68-year-old single Catalan woman arrived at the restaurant wanting to fall in love with her again. She married the man of her life when she was 19, but for four years she was a widow. The single woman confessed that she had tried to meet people, but nothing had worked out. ''I want to have a man again,'' she declared.

Her date was going to be Carlos, a 68-year-old retired Catalan surgeon, who confessed that he had never fallen in love, despite having been married for 35 years. ''I don't know what I want in this life,'' he confessed. However, what seemed at first like a simple blind date, became in a matter of seconds a reunion between two old acquaintances.

And Mari Carmen and Carlos knew each other from a dating app. ''We've had conversations, but things didn't work out,'' the single woman explained. After exchanging their first words, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where the evening began.

Once seated, the singles caught up on their lives. ''He is an educated person, he has interests and I like that about him,'' she commented. ''He is a woman with whom you will not be able to get tired of talking because she has many experiences,'' declared the bachelor. But despite agreeing on certain important points, the first bumps between the couple were beginning to emerge.

Mari Carmen confessed that she preferred to be in a relationship despite having greatly enjoyed her solitude. ''I like having a man like the ones before, who takes me, pampers me, I like that,'' she said. However, Carlos was quite against that statement. ''I am not one of those old men, I believe that women deserve the same treatment as men, both in the good and the bad,'' he asserted.

In the final stretch of the evening, Mari Carmen discovered that Carlos had never been in love. ''Maybe he doesn't have the capacity to love, to open up or to feel,'' she declared. In addition, the bachelor confessed that in love he was a quite complicated person. ''When things are going well for me, sometimes I complicate them so that they go wrong,'' he said. ''I don't want a man like that, I want a calm person who is capable of laughing at oneself and the world with good taste,'' she said.

Therefore, in the final decision there were no surprises and both rejected each other because they had not felt any type of connection and were looking for very different things. ''I'm not the type of man similar to her, and the view that a man takes care of a woman is something I don't share,'' Carlos concluded.
