A month later, Kiko Rivera finally reacts to the arrest of Antonio Tejado

Antonio Tejado is still in jail accused of being the mastermind of a gang of Sevillian thieves who attacked the house of María del Monte, his aunt. His family and those close to him, including the singer, have not wanted to comment too much on Tejado's situation and have advocated respecting the presumption of innocence.

Kiko Rivera, who has a great friendship with Tejado, was one of the few friends of the Sevillian who had not yet spoken out. However, the DJ has broken his silence in an interview for ABC even though it was not his initial intention: “It's a topic that I don't want to touch on because I come from music promotion.”

Despite his initial reservations, Kiko Rivera has shared his feelings about the shocking event: "But what do you want me to tell you, it's something so strong that I don't even know what to tell you." Precisely, her reaction was total disbelief when she heard the news: "When I found out I was shocked, and not only because of him, but because I also know the whole family."

The closeness that the DJ has with his friend's family is more than evident, since Isabel Pantoja and María del Monte were close friends many years ago. Therefore, he and Tejado grew up together: "I have always gotten along very well with them, when these things happen you don't know what to think or what to say."

In this sense, the completely unexpected arrest of Tejado, who is currently in jail for having a criminal record, has left Pantoja's son without knowing how to manage the situation or how to help: "He catches you offside and you don't know what the "What needs to be done. Something like this has never happened to me and I don't know how to react in such a strong case."

Tejado was arrested on February 9 and is currently in provisional prison without bail, accused of belonging to a criminal gang dedicated to robberies with violence and intimidation in luxury homes in the Aljarafe region of Seville.

Since his imprisonment, Tejado has adopted a strategy that seems aimed at improving his image in the face of trial. Apparently, he has begun to participate in courses, such as one in marquetry, and has returned to prepare for the forest guard exams. He has also requested spiritual help and has asked not to have television in his cell to avoid hearing news related to his case.

The exact date of Antonio Tejado's trial has not yet been publicly confirmed, but important details have been revealed about the defense strategy and the preparations they are carrying out. Thus, Fernando Velo, the Sevillian's defense lawyer, has requested that Tejado testify before the judge on March 15.
