The bicycle sector is experiencing a golden age, with two-wheeled vehicles manufactured with the latest in technology to turn leisure trips or daily urban trips into comfortable and fun trips. Some brands also want to differentiate themselves from the rest of the competition by proposing bicycles that are also original and unique. This is the case of Connor Cycles, a brand known for manufacturing modern and attractive wooden bicycles.

Its most recent novelty is the e-Woody, an urban trend proposal that fuses the latest in electrical engineering with craftsmanship. Connor Cycles has worked hard to create an unprecedented machine, using some materials that are so unusual in cycling such as ash and walnut wood, resin or Kevlar (a very resistant synthetic fiber). To this they wanted to add electrical assistance to satisfy the current demand of users.

The design of the new bike is based on the geometry and curved shapes of its 100% mechanical predecessor, the Woody Scorcher. With this wooden mountain-bike, the brand achieved international recognition.

The e-Woody is an electric bicycle intended specifically for the urban environment. It has an optimal frame for traveling on asphalt (which also allows it to be modified if you want to use the vehicle on other terrain). The bike comes with a rigid front fork that focuses the weight on the front for greater stability and a SRAM e-Matic hub motor with 250 W of power, powered by a 7.7 Ah, 36 V battery.

The gear shift wiring has been designed to offer a clean and tidy aesthetic. It has a Gates carbon belt transmission that is distinguished by being smooth, simple and efficient, and that allows cyclists to concentrate solely on enjoying pedaling.

Despite boasting a sporty aesthetic and weighing 22 kilograms for the standard version, the bike stands out for its ride comfort. It has two 29-inch wheels that help cushion uneven terrain. If you are looking for even more smoothness, you can add a suspension fork or a specific fender.

In the back, where the battery is located, there is enough space to carry some cargo, such as a sports backpack or shopping bag. The customization options that Connor offers are countless, and that determines the price of the bike, which is only manufactured on demand. The price range ranges from 5,500 euros for the most basic version to 10,900 euros for the alternative equipped with all kinds of accessories.

If you are interested in knowing the vehicle in greater detail, in the video that accompanies this article you will be able to see the e-Woody in full motion and visualize the sporting possibilities of other models of the brand.
