The president of the CEV Valencia Business Confederation, Eva Blasco, called this Tuesday for an agenda of reforms and less regulation and bureaucratic burdens for Spanish companies, which "is increasing as their turnover grows. Bureaucracy slows down the growth of companies" .
Blasco's statements delved into the reality of the Valencian business fabric, stressed by the markets, the increase in raw materials and the crisis in the Red Sea, "it is delaying arrivals at destination, raising transaction costs, all in a context in which companies are suffering from the increase in costs, including salaries, which are of great concern in the CEV", explained Blasco.
"At the CEV we insist on generating a working environment for business activity that promotes the productivity and competitiveness of our companies," declared the businesswoman, whose entity will travel to Madrid tomorrow to, at the CEOE headquarters, present the “ Manifesto for the maintenance of the economy of Castellón”, which denounces the complicated economic situation that the province is going through. There are now more than 67 signatory associations and entities that support the text.
"An agenda of reforms and greater investment is needed to promote business growth to compete in international markets," Blasco requested this morning during an eminently business event, since the employers' association was acting as host for the presentation of the report “The success of middle market companies in Spain”, prepared by the CRE100DO Foundation in collaboration with PwC.
According to the report, the Valencian Community concentrates 11% of the total Intermediate Size Companies (ETis) in Spain. In Spain there are around 3,300 ETIs, of which 1,800 have their decision center in Spain. These companies contribute an aggregate turnover of 221,000 million euros per year, the equivalent of 18% of GDP.
