The Transport Platform joins farmers and ranchers and calls for an indefinite strike

The Platform for the defense of the national and international road freight transport sector, an organization of transport companies, has called for an indefinite national strike starting this Saturday, joining the protests and strike of farmers and ranchers promoted by Platform 6-F.

"From this moment on, an indefinite national strike has been officially called," announced the leader of the Transport Platform, Manuel Hernández, after a show of hands in which dozens of people participated and gathered on the esplanade of the Metropolitan Stadium, in Madrid.

This is how the Transport Platform has endorsed its plan to carry out strikes starting today jointly with the Platform 6-F of farmers and ranchers, whose spokesperson, Lola Guzmán, shook hands with Hernández during the announcement.

The Transport Platform is a small employer that paralyzed a good part of economic activity in March 2022 throughout the country with a strike in the sector and has taken advantage of the tensions in the agriculture sector, which began two weeks ago in France and have spread to the rest of Europe, to join these protests.

In November 2022, this association threatened to call another lockout to repeat the success achieved a few months before, but on that occasion it did not manage to transcend and in just a few days it had to be suspended.
