Perspectives and strategies for the economic development of the Valencian Community

La Vanguardia will hold the "Money Meetings: Special Valencian Community" Forum on May 2 in Valencia, in which the economic and business challenges that this autonomy faces to consolidate itself as an economic engine in Spain and Europe will be addressed. The meeting, in which political, economic, business and academic experts will participate, will take place in the assembly hall of the Valencian Business Confederation, CEV, and will feature the presence of the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, at the opening ceremony. , the mayor of València, María José Catalá and the president of the CEV, Salvador Navarro.

The main objective of the forum is to explore the potential of the Valencian productive sector, as well as the difficulties it suffers to consolidate itself as a fundamental economic actor in Spain. Among these topics are digitalization, innovation, internationalization, sustainability, infrastructure, transport, tourism or maximizing the use of European funds. The forum program includes various round tables, each focused on a specific topic and moderated by experts in the field. The first table, titled "An economy of the future", will be moderated by Salvador Enguix, delegate in the Valencian Community of La Vanguardia. This table will have the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Valencian Business Confederation, CEV, the Valencian Association of Businessmen, AVE and the Valencia Chamber.

Another relevant panel will be the one dedicated to "Tourism, sustainability and innovation", moderated by Enrique Bolland. At this table, topics related to the future of tourism in the Valencian Community, sustainability and its impact on the regional economy, and innovation as an essential lever for economic growth will be discussed. It will be attended by Núria Montes de Diego, Minister of Industry and Tourism, as well as key actors in a leading sector in the generation of employment and wealth such as startups. In addition, crucial issues such as infrastructure and transportation will be addressed in a panel moderated by Neus Navarro. Here, aspects related to the development of key infrastructures for the region will be analyzed, with the participation of representatives of the Government for the Mediterranean corridor, the Department of Environment, Water, Infrastructure and Territory, and representatives of companies in this sector, among others.
