Financial solutions to face new times

In general terms, the financing of a company is something comparable to the oxygen we breathe. Without it, large, medium and even small firms cannot develop projects, businesses or activities capable of attracting commercial activity and, consequently, greater income. Therefore, these investments must be properly analyzed and evaluated as best as possible so that the conditions set by creditors are the most appropriate for the business's finances.

Traditionally, the banking sector has played a crucial role in the financing of Spanish companies, far above other alternative sources, such as stock markets or venture capital.

Thus, companies have obtained their financing through a single source, which becomes an element of vulnerability in certain moments, such as the last banking crisis. Given this situation, there has been a process of financial disinvestment by which companies have exchanged a part of their financing based on bank loans for the issuance of securities, such as promissory notes, bonds or capital, in alternative official markets.

However, there are other alternatives for economic performance, such as so-called direct lending, which base their economic injection from private investors, which guarantees the coverage of short-term capital needs if there are difficulties in accessing traditional financing sources.

Due to the complexity of the world of finance and the multiple possibilities that a businessman has, it is vitally important that the business world obtains the necessary information to direct the accounts as best as possible. In this sense, Banca March, a bank specialized in family businesses and medium-sized businesses, will offer, together with La Vanguardia, a meeting to convey to business leaders what solutions exist regarding “Alternative financing for the company and asset advice for businessman".

José Luis Acea, CEO of Banca March, will participate in the meeting; Jorge Bonnin, CFO of Grupo Molins; Eduard Tarruell, Corporate Treasurer of Grupo Fluidra; Carlos Blasco, CFO of Grupo Jorge; Gonzalo Gómez Retuerto, director general of MARF (BME), and José Manuel Arcenegui, director general of Banca March and head of the Corporate Banking Department
