"We respect", campaign against intrusion and for respect in Valencian tourist accommodation

Turisme Comunitat Valenciana has once again granted this year to VIUTUR, the Valencian delegation of the Tourist Housing Association (APTURCV), a subsidy of 65,385 euros from the Program to promote responsible tourism and the fight against intrusion in tourist accommodation contemplated in the budgets of the Generalitat Valenciana for 2023.

VIUTUR will allocate the subsidy to cover the promotion actions of the “weRespect” action protocol for owners or managers of Tourist Housing in Valencia that it carried out this year, and to renew the information and promotional material so that users of their accommodation respect the rules of coexistence of common spaces and the sustainable management of energy resources.

The second “weRespect” campaign in Valencia has been summarized in the slogan “From Valencia, with Respect”, which will accompany the new advertising and merchandising material that will be distributed from now on both in the city's Tourist Homes and on digital portals, forums and sector events in which VIUTUR regularly participates.

Last year, the “weRespect” pilot plan in Valencia made it possible to monitor the first 500 homes to detect possible noise and anticipate any inconvenience that could cause neighborhood complaints. The balance of the 10 months of action in 2022 offered very positive data since although an average of 3.6 monthly alerts were registered, and 93% of the notices were resolved in an average of 20 minutes without the need to send the concierge.

Through this action protocol designed by the technology company “Roomonitor”, both the user and the accommodation manager receive an alarm every time pre-established levels are exceeded on monitors installed inside the homes, which allows them to act preventively. and avoid neighborhood complaints. In addition, the protocol includes a 24-hour concierge service that can come to the accommodation if the user does not attend to the alarms.

The city of Valencia, along with Barcelona, Malaga, Madrid, Lisbon and Paris, will be one of the six European capitals that once again promotes the “weRespect” certification in Housing for Tourist Use.
