Vox proposes an anti-jam bullet train in Madrid and the PP says that "no engineer would validate it"

Within the catalog of electoral promises, the latest Vox proposal in Madrid is on its way to being one of the most famous, at least for this 28-M. His candidate for the Presidency of the Community of Madrid, Rocío Monasterio, has proposed the creation of a bullet train to the center of the capital in the face of traffic jams and "traffic jams" on the highways. Although the proposal has not taken long to be reviled by the PP assuring that "no engineer would validate it".

The phrase. The controversy has arisen in connection with the great urban development Madrid Nuevo Norte for which Vox has suggested a commitment to "ambitious" infrastructures instead of "reinaugurating" the same model "nine times with different lights". "We cannot be afraid," Monasterio remarked this week in reference to the criticism that he could have from environmental organizations. Monasterio has assured that people prefer "infrastructures" to "gender observatories".

The replica. The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid, David Pérez, has not only assured that "no engineer" would validate Vox's proposal, but has ironized with hypothetical similar proposals: "It is, well, what do I know, as if proposed to put an ocean liner in the Manzanares or create an airline that would cover Madrid-Manzanares-El Real".

In line, he has claimed that these are transport "for much longer distances" and that they are not applicable to shorter issues. Faced with this, he has explained how the conventional train, the Metro or smart buses are much more appropriate forms.

The counter-reply The hesitation of PP to Vox has not been liked within who has acted as a de facto coalition partner for a good part of the legislature. And the Monasterio itself has answered that "the PP government is not here to give engineering lessons after what they have done with the subway in San Fernando de Henares", in reference to a project that has caused the collapse of dozens of blocks of homes due to water leaks in a route modified at the time, and at full speed, by the electoral whim of Esperanza Aguirre.
