Two young people between 18 and 20 years old suffered a major climbing accident this morning in Calp (Alicante) when they suffered a fall of about 20 meters, after which they became stuck on a rock, after having suffered blows to the head. the shoulders and neck. The rescue team of this Provincial Council has managed to access the accident site by land, but has decided to activate the Alpha 01 helicopter with a toilet to provide first urgent healthcare. Once at the site, they performed first aid on the climbers and, once immobilized, one of them was evacuated in the medical helicopter to the Marina Baixa hospital in La Vila Joiosa and the other, in the SAMU ambulance, to the hospital. The accident occurred in the Partida de Maryvilla area, in the Alicante town of Calp, very popular with hikers and climbers as it offers excellent panoramic views of the coastal town and the Peñón de Ifach.
