Two grains of rice and a paella to raise awareness among children about immigration

Bombeta and Sénia are two grains of rice who want to fulfill their dream of traveling to the Valencian Community to become paella makers. An adventure full of flavors and values that serves Ricard Tàpera (author) and Carles Vercher, Ubeefe, (illustrator) to make the little ones aware of the difficulties of having to migrate to another country.

L'arroz de la paella invites us to reflect on 'the long journey' of migration and the difficulties it entails for the people who carry it out through the most international Valencian dish. The book is the latest bet by Caliu Espai Editorial within its Xicalla collection which, as its translation indicates, is aimed at boys and girls.

Tàpera and Vercher have already done tandem in other publications of the same publishing house with success such as Atlases de les comarques Valencianes or Comboi, a tour of the popular festivals of the Valencian Community. Xicalla In addition, they have participated in the Illustrated Zoo project, a collection of stories launched by the most important music group in Valencian at the moment.

The Xicalla collection is characterized by promoting inclusive materials to help people with functional diversity, but also boys and girls who come from outside and have difficulties with the Valencian language.
